We begin with a free phone consultation to understand what you are looking for. I may ask for photos or a video of the space to better understand your needs and provide you with a rough estimate of the length of your project. I will ask about your vision for the space, what is and is not currently working, your aesthetic preferences, and your budget for the project.
Once you schedule an in-person session, I will tour the space and come up with a plan to tackle the project in an efficient way. The first step in most organizing projects is decluttering. Some clients prefer to do this ahead of time, but if you find it challenging to get started, I am here to help! Typically, we begin the decluttering process by categorizing all the items in the space before helping you decide what to keep and what to let go of. I can help take care of items you no longer need by dropping them off at donation locations, or helping you arrange for their removal. Then, we can begin putting it back together. We will create a system customized to your needs. If supplies (i.e. shelving, containers, organizers) are required, I will provide you with suggested products, go shopping for you, or shop around your own home!
Each organizing project is unique, so the time-frame for project completion depends on the space, level of clutter, and how quickly you make decisions. Sessions are a minimum of three hours to start. Generally, small spaces (i.e. closet, laundry room, entryway) can be completed in one session. Home offices, kitchens, and heavily cluttered areas can take longer. Our free initial phone consultation will help give me a rough estimate of the length of your project.
Nope! Purchasing the wrong items for your needs will just create clutter. We can shop your house, repurposing what you already have. After your first session, I will also provide you with a list of suggested products based on your budget. If you prefer, I can also shop for you!
Nope! It is better to see the space as it usually looks so we can design an organizing system that will best suit your needs. Don't worry - I have seen it all and there is no judgment! I totally understand how quickly things can get out of control and how daunting it can be to try and put it back together on your own.
I understand you may feel embarrassed by the state of your home. Rest assured, our sessions are judgment-free. I am here to help you achieve your organization goals and all client communication, verbal and written, will remain in the strictest confidence and in accordance to the NAPO Code of Ethics. No photos or videos of your space will ever be shared without your permission. If they are shared with consent, identifying information is excluded.
