Organizing with Kate came about when I accepted a part-time job as a home organizer after moving to Boston in 2021. I loved it so much that I took a hiatus from my actual career (teaching) to pursue professional organizing full-time.
As an elementary teacher, I learned how crucial it is to work within a well-organized space, for myself and my young scholars. Clearing clutter is essential to make a learning environment accessible and manageable by 25 seven-year-olds. An easily maintained, tidy, and intuitive space made time for so much more learning and fun. Colleagues began asking for my help in their classrooms, then their homes, and I shifted my focus from organizing lesson plans to organizing spaces.
I believe in keeping what makes you happy or is useful and removing any clutter that makes more work for you. I know if every item has a home, it is more likely to be found quickly and put back in place.
I have a particular affinity for neurodivergent folks who have tried getting organized on their own but need a little friendly help from someone else to create successful, maintainable systems.
After ten years of experience as a teacher, I rely on my community building and leadership skills to collaborate with you, listening carefully to the goals of a project and adjusting my approach as necessary to ensure the best outcome for you.
